The engines feature Hi-eSCR only after-treatment solution for maximum combustion efficiency and fulfil Stage IV emission regulations. Changes for the engine include new valve material and design for the engine head for higher combustion pressure; however the major change comes in the lower part of the engine block and oil sump, with a specific design where the sump serves as backbone of the tractor, thus removing stress from the engine block. Whilst the typical weight of the Optum CVX amounts to 11,000kg, this ‘structural sump’ allows for a maximum gross vehicle weight of 16,000kg, providing ballast and payload options for the customer. ITA Optum CVX - via Case IH La gamma Optum CVX comprende due modelli equipaggiati con i compatti motori NEF da 6,7 litri prodotti da FPT Industrial, con una potenza di 270 o 300 cv a un regime nominale di 2.100 giri/min e una potenza massima di 313 cv a 1.800 giri/min per il maggiore dei due modelli. I motori si avvalgono del sistema di post-trattamento "Hi-eSCR only" per la massima efficienza di combustione e la conformità alla normativa sulle emissioni Stage IV. La modifiche al motore prevedono un nuovo materiale per le valvole e la progettazione della testata con una maggiore pressione di combustione, tuttavia i cambiamenti principali riguardano la parte bassa del blocco motore e la coppa dell'olio, con una specifica soluzione progettuale dove la coppa funge da "dorsale" del trattore, eliminando così le sollecitazioni dal blocco motore. Anche se il peso tipico dell'Optum CVX è di 11.000 kg, questa "coppa strutturale" consente un peso massimo lordo del veicolo di 16.000 kg, lasciando al cliente varie opzioni di zavorramento e carico utile.
