Si tratta della triturazione dei residui colturali del sorgo post trebbiatura, i quali, in parte ricacciati e in parte essiccati non si prestavano ad una macinazione "tradizionale" tramite trinciastocchi in quanto creavano ingolfamenti, perdite di tempo e rotture a quest'ultimi. Si è optato quindi per l'uso delle trincia che, equipaggiate con testate da mais riuscivano a svolgere una qrande mole di lavoro con uno sforzo irrisorio. Vi sembrerà uno spreco non raccogliere il trinciato ed usarlo come biomassa ma considerando che gli impianti biogas limitrofi non erano interessati a questo tipo di prodotto, in un terreno in cui non si ha la possibilità di apportare sostanza organica (letame, digestato ecc...) lasciare i residui non fa certo male. Ci trovavamo tra il comune di Sant'Urbano e quello di Vescovana in provincia di Padova e l'appezzamento era di 30-35 ettari dove oltre alle 2 trincia lavoravano anche un Fendt 936 con Quadrivomere Moro e un Case IH Quadtrac 450 con pentavomere Moro interrando i residuo macinati.
